About Lauren Gisclair

New Orleans Voice teacher, Musician and Wedding SOLOIST

Since her early childhood, music has always played a significant role in Lauren’s life. As a budding musician in New Orleans, she lived and breathed everything singing. She studied, admired and slightly obsessed over all the greats from Julie Andrews to Renee Fleming. With much support, guidance and lots of LOVE from some incredible and inspiring voice teachers, Lauren found a life career as a musician in New Orleans. And even more importantly as a voice TEACHER.

Lauren holds a Bachelor of Music from Indiana University and a Masters in Voice Performance and Pedagogy from Penn State University. While at Penn State, she not only trained in classical voice but also studied privately with the amazing Mary Saunders Barton on musical theatre technique through her course “Bel Canto Can Belto.”

Lauren the Voice Teacher

In 2008, Lauren opened up her voice studio in New Orleans where she has been connecting with students both musically and personally. She has been fortunate to provide voice coaching for students who have performed on Broadway, in national tours, on TV and on the big screen. Many of her talented students that took singing lessons from her have gone on to attend prestigious musical theatre programs and are often showcased in local community and school musical theatre productions. In 2012, she had the honor of working with actress, singer and dancer Julianne Hough as her personal vocal coach while filming the movie Paradise directed by Diablo Cody.
