María Victoria Hefte is a familiar fixture in the local arts scene on either side of the Pontchartrain. One of the founding members of the pandemic-era ensemble entertainment group Opera Festa Singers, Hefte has sung German, Italian, French, and Russian repertoire at venues such as the Southern Hotel, Third Sunday Concert Series, and the Deutsches Haus as well as The Gallery - a far cry from their humble beginnings singing off a balcony on Frenchman Street. Hefte enjoys workshopping new musicals like “How To Kill A Diva,” with Jefferson Performing Arts Society and “Perfectly Imperfect,” with the Marigny Opera House, as well as cultivating bright, up-and-coming artists through acting programs like Covington Louisiana Actors’ Playhouse System. After representing Louisiana State on the national level for both the Poetry Out Loud and National Shakespeare competitions during her respective school years, Hefte is now an annual judge and acting coach for her alma mater’s current contestants.

At just 5 years old, Garri embarked on a musical adventure under both her grandmother's wings, laying the foundation for her remarkable career. 🌈 The love for music blossomed, and she soon explored jazz clarinet and musical theater, guided by amazing mentors. 🎶
Garri's educational journey was as vibrant as her tunes!
She graduated from NOCCA while at Ursuline Academy in 2015. Her thirst for knowledge led her to Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where she earned bachelor's and master's degrees in Vocal Performance and Vocal Pedagogy. 🎓
Beyond her musical prowess, Garri is a champion for diversity and inclusion. She founded the Black Student Alliance, leaving an indelible mark in advocating for a harmonious world. 🌍
But that's not all! Garri's entrepreneurial spirit shines through Paul’s Beverages @pauls_beverages offering you a taste of delightful freshly squeezed lemonades, brewed teas, and cold brew coffees. Sip and savor the symphony of flavors! ☕🍋

Bon Operatit! had the pleasure of singing at St. Anthony’s Gardens this week.
