Voice Instructors

At Lauren’s Voice Studio, we’re passionate about music, community, and helping students discover their unique voice in a positive and supportive environment. What started as a solo venture 14 years ago has grown into a dynamic team. In 2022, Lauren welcomed Garri Anna-Marie Paul, a former student, back to the studio with new ideas and a lot of enthusiasm. Then, in fall 2023, we were excited to add Frank Convit, a talented classical performer, to our team. Together, we bring years of experience as both performers and educators, with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Music.

New Orleans Voice Lessons for Kids

Lauren Gisclair

Lauren is passionate about helping students take their voices to the next level. Specializing in audition preparation and coaching for musical theatre, she works with both local and national performers to refine their skills and boost their confidence as both vocalists and storytellers. Lauren also loves working with beginner adult students, guiding them to uncover and develop their vocal potential. In addition to private lessons, she teaches small group voice classes for kids ages 6-11, creating a fun and supportive environment where young singers can explore their voices and grow.

Garri Anna-Marie Paul

Garri teaches students of all ages, focusing on the fundamentals of vocal technique. She enjoys working with singers interested in musical theatre, pop, and classical repertoire, and believes in exposing students to a variety of genres to help grow their voices. With a strong emphasis on vocal pedagogy, Garri incorporates body work to support vocal health and help students unlock their full potential.

Frank Convit

Frank enjoys working with beginner students, helping them build a strong vocal foundation from the ground up. He uses Solfege hand symbols to teach sight reading and aural skills, making the learning process both fun and effective. Frank also loves preparing students for auditions, guiding them in character development and boosting their confidence to excel in every audition.

Our Collaborative Approach

As a team, we meet regularly to discuss student progress, brainstorm fresh ideas, and plan engaging performances and auditions. We’re committed to keeping things exciting and helping every student reach their full potential.

Exciting Performances

We host a variety of performances throughout the year, each designed to showcase our students’ hard work and growth. From our intimate Holiday Concert to the inspiring Senior Showcase and lively Spring Showcase, these events are more than just performances—they’re a celebration of music, teamwork, and progress. Students have the chance to perform in duets, trios, and full ensemble pieces, building confidence and creating lasting memories.

Learning Beyond the Studio

We’re always looking for ways to provide additional learning opportunities. In addition to lessons and performances, we offer specialized workshops like Practical Piano Skills for Singers, Classical Voice Workshop, and College Musical Theatre Round Table. These workshops give students the chance to learn from each of us in new, hands-on ways.

Building Confidence Through Auditions & Competitions

We encourage students to take their talents outside the studio by participating in local and national competitions or auditions. These experiences are a great way to build confidence, challenge yourself, and gain valuable performance experience in new settings.

Our Mission

At Lauren’s Voice Studio, our mission is simple: to support and inspire every student on their musical journey. We’re here to create a space where students can thrive, grow, and share the joy of music. Whether you’re looking to improve your vocal skills, perform on stage, or simply explore your musical potential, we’re here to guide you every step of the way.

Our three young daughters study at Ms. Lauren's voice studio with Ms. Garri, and we've been so impressed by how thoughtfully the lessons are designed to suit their age and abilities. Ms. Garri's professional and focused approach has given our girls a strong foundation in vocal technique while helping them build confidence and refine their skills. She has a wonderful way of challenging them while still making them feel supported and proud of their progress. The lessons have not only improved their singing but also deepened their appreciation for music. Thanks to Ms. Lauren's expertise, this studio has become a meaningful part of our daughters' musical journey.
