Singing Lessons
For Kids & Teens
Your child loves to perform and just can’t get enough of it. It’s like there’s a walking Spotify playlist running on loop throughout your home 24/7. You can certainly hear there is a natural talent AND even more an enormous passion and joy for singing. BUT where to go? What to do? As a parent myself, I understand that you want the best for your child and I am here to help support, shape and guide your child’s natural talent and love for singing. With 1:1 singing lessons with Lauren, your child will build the confidence, develop the skills and make connections for success in singing. Singing lessons with Lauren are weekly with time frames ranging from 30-45 minute sessions depending on your child’s age and singing experience.

My home voice studio is located in a safe neighborhood in Old Metairie with easy parking. Students and siblings can relax, do homework or work on their voice assignments while waiting for pickup or their sibling’s singing lesson.
My studio is tuition based with fees collected in full at the beginning of each semester (August-December, January-May & June-July). This system makes it simpler for most families to easily budget and does not require reminders of monthly payments or late fees. In addition, it frees up my administrative tasks so I can focus more on lesson planning and curriculum development for your child and our studio as a whole.
I will provide a tuition contract and calendar with the number of lessons that will be offered. Included is a set fee for showcase expenses, sheet music, studio course packet and other lesson materials. Lessons will be prorated for those that start in the middle of the semester.
Lessons can be paid by check, Venmo or cash.
In the case of lesson conflicts, I ask that you switch lesson times with another student in the studio for the week that you have a conflict. There will be a shared calendar with my studio schedule and student contact information to make the switch.
If you are traveling or are feeling sick, I am happy to offer a virtual lesson or provide lesson materials which includes resources like recording accompaniments, resume editing, repertoire building or personalized vocalises. Your lesson time will not be wasted.
At the end of the semester, I will offer makeup days where you can sign up for one missed lesson.
Because there are ample opportunities for lesson swaps and one makeup, I will not refund or discount tuition except in cases of emergency.
Yes, I offer online singing lessons via Zoom. This is certainly a convenient way to take lessons especially with busy schedules. Or if you do not live in the New Orleans area, we can still connect online.
Online lessons can also be set up in instances of inclement weather, travel or sickness. Consistent lessons lead to faster progress and growth in addition to getting the most of your financial commitment to lessons.
Our annual studio showcase performance is a wonderful opportunity for students to choose music that they love and want to share. Parents, families and other students get to enjoy and celebrate student’s growth.
I am always tuned into local theatre auditions and opportunities as well as honor choir and solo and ensemble festivals.
I have a standby list for students who would like to be contacted at the last minute for a singing lesson when my schedule might free up. These singing lessons are paid per session.
